I've made it to 26 weeks! I don't go to the doctor again until next week. I think I'm supposed to do the diabetes test next week but they never gave me the orange drink so I'm not going to worry about it. I haven't had diabetes before so I doubt I have it this time. I think my last pregnancy I didn't even drink the juice when I had the test done because the stuff tastes like sugared up orange soda. So, nasty!!
Weight Gain: 30.6 lbs! It just keeps coming! It seems the more I walk, the more weight I gain. I think I should back off on the walking. Maybe try to limit to 3 miles a day. I think it makes me hungrier and then I eat too much when I'm walking a lot.
Exercise: Last week I walked 31.9 miles! I did a 9.4 mile walk on Saturday at White Rock Lake. It took 3.5 hours! Thankfully, I had my friend Misty with me to help pass the time. The sunshine is nice also and Jamyson loves all the people on the trail. When I'm walking, if I feel that I can't go any further, I focus on making it a little longer because I'm hoping this will help me get thru contractions without medication. I'm not opposed to the epidural I'm just very afraid that it would lead to more interventions and with 2 C-sections prior, I know my doctor will be looking for any reason to have another one.
Cravings/Diet: Still eating string cheese, frozen grapes, chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream (reminder to stop buying that)! I also found some light mayo that's only 35 calories per tablespoon so I've been making tuna and egg salad. I normally love that anyways when I'm not pregnant but the mayo tastes so good pregnant! I've enjoyed toasted bread with either tuna or egg salad as a sandwich.
Morning Sickness:Still no more sickness but I'm still taking 2 diclegis every night.
Sleep: Been able to take naps during the day this week. Good naps, about an hour long.
Concerns: I've been listening to podcasts on natural births to help give me ideas of how to get through contractions without an epidural. I think the longer I can postpone and epidural, the better change I have for a VBAC. I occasionally have braxton hicks contractions, but nothing serious. Sometimes if I haven't drank enough fluid, I will feel them but usually in the afternoon and only maybe 2 or 3 extremely irregular.
Shopping: I went to a consignment shop and bought some newborn onesies-they look so tiny!! I also bought some 0-3 month pajamas because for some reason I didn't keep any of Jamyson's 0-3 month clothes. I think they must've had either poop or spit up stains and that's why I donated them?
I love kickee pants so I have registered for some of those on my baby registry.
That's all for now
