To my friend....

To my best friend. I love you and am so proud of you for all that you are. I love watching you raise Blake and I look forward to seeing you bring another beautiful person into this world. I love to see you and Nick grow closer as you get older and I love to see the tenacity of your marraige play out through all you both go through together. I love the person that you are and the example you are for all your family and friends. I think you are an amazing nurse and an even more amazing Mommy (which is more important) I am so thankful that I met you in nursing school and that our paths crossed at that very moment, because I will forever be changed and a better person because you are in my life. I love you and I look forward to many more years of experiences, moments, memories but most of all true friendship, to come :) Love, Me @---)---)----

Her beautiful birthday cake, blowing out the candles with her Dad. Lexi and Baus singing happy birthday to Blake!!! Love you, Blake!!!! That's all for now @---)----)----

Fun Run First Place!!

Not that I like to brag, but I have one great kid! She got first place in the Fall Fun Run against all second grade girls! I refrained from taking picutres of the other contestants, however, I did see a young lady in 2nd grade who needed to be wearing a bra more than I do! Anyways, Bri did awesome in the fun run. She came in 10th overall (behind 9 other boys) and 1st in front of all the 2nd grade girls. She never quite running the entire time and was so tired at the end but she did awesome! My brother would be very proud of her because he loves to run. She is a natural runner and maybe one day will be on the cross country team or something ( I can only hope that her atheletic abilities will bloom sooner than later :)) As for right now, she enjoys coloring, playing with her friends, watching Disney, etc.... She dislikes being outside, getting dirty and sweating. Oh well, I'm still very proud of her and she is a great kid! That's all for now @---)----)----

San Antonio Trip

We went down to San Antonio for the weekend with Rob and his family. We stayed on the riverwalk and it was so pretty! Bri said it was the best vacation ever :) This was the view from outside our hotel. The flowers were in the shape of a heart :) Bri and Rob on the riverwalk bridge. I love all the IVY! Boat trip down the San Antonio river. Our tour guide was dressed up as a deviled egg:) That cracked me up! And, of course, we ate a ton of Mexican food. Here is a group shot from one of the restaraunts. Bri loved all the food and I loved all the shopping at the outlets!! Of course, after I finished my four purchases were not outlet prices.... oh well... I got Bri's new quilt for her new bed!! Yeah!! Now, I just have to find some sheets! I think I will get some from Land's End with her initials on them. I love their sheets! I bought some flannel ones with snowflakes embroidered on them and they are so freakin' soft. I don't even want to get out of bed. I have been slee...
