I can't take the heat!

It's getting too hot out! I can't stand listening to my air conditioner run for 20 minutes, turn off 2 minutes and then turn back on for another 20 minutes. So, last night, I cranked the AC up to 82.... around 3am I awoke in a puddle of sweat. I'm going to have to breakdown and leave it running at night because I can't stand sleeping in the heat! Anyways, I got the fun inclination to trim my tree last night :( I think I went a little crazy. I tried to make it look taller and thinner. I definately looks thinner. I found a little birds nest from a couple of years ago up in the branches, so I left it alone. My camera battery is dead and I have been too lazy to charge it to take some new pictures. I will try to muster up the motivation tonight to do such a thing. Anyways.... That's all for now @---)----)---

Muffins with Mom.... best day of the whole school year!!!

And the winner is.....

So, I've been experimenting with different grocery stores over the past two months. I have always shopped at walmart but I wanted to ensure that I was really getting the best deals. So, I shopped at Sprouts... great produce and fresh meat! Occasional good deals on certain items, nice place to buy bulk health food items such as flaxseed and nuts. Otherwise, pricy and limited selection of food. Then, Aldi.... charged me 25 cents to use a shopping cart, crowded, full of elderly folks who creep along at a slower than turtle pace, chicken I purchased was dark meat and disgusting, fruit was bruised, bananas were all yellow, milk was the same price as walmart, everything was a brand I didn't recognize. Central Market, too high! Kroger, has good deals on certain items but overall too high. Tom Thumb, has the best produce out of anyone but is higher priced than Kroger. Walmart Neighborhood Market, nice prices, less selection than regular Walmarts, takes fewer coupons. And...

Shrek Nail Polish

I'm obsessed with painting my nails. So, I was flipping through the ULTA catalog and saw this new nail polish that comes out on May 9th! However, I got the catalog on Monday so I thought maybe they already had it in the store and were going to put it on special on May 9th. So, I walked into ULTA to buy my exciting new shrek nail polish... And, they didn't have it in yet :( So, sad, I was really bummed. I can buy it online, but if I wait until Sunday, I have a 20 percent off coupon and I'll get it a little cheaper and won't have to pay shipping. Patience is a virtue and I definately don't possess it! I called today (crossing my fingers) that they would have it in. What's 20 percent anyways, right? Nope, still not in! I guess I have no choice but to be patient :( That's all for now @---)----)----

Fun Run!

Brianna completed another fun run today at school. I love that they do these. It's so good for the kids! They had a dj playing music and all the kids ran with their grade level. The Kindergarten thru 2nd graders ran a half mile and the 3rd thru 5th graders ran 1 mile. Here are some pictures. Bri was the 3rd girl finisher, about 8th overall. I think there are about 60 kids in her 2nd grade group. I love this picture! She's such a good little runner! I can't wait to see her do the 1 mile next year for 3rd grade! They do this twice a year and I love going to watch it. That's all for now @---)----)----

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! 8 years ago I became a Mother, not willingly or desperately trying, actually rather wishing I didn't, at the time. I've raised my little girl with the help of my parents and she is turning into a beautiful young lady. She's stubborn, a neat freak, exceptionally smart... alot like her mama! :) jk There are times that I go home after working all day to pay for the house we live in, the bills that accumulate, the extra clothes/purse that she just has to have, and I don't feel like being a Mom. I would rather lay on the couch, watch "Cougartown" and just chill out. I don't want to mow the lawn, I don't want to feed the dogs, I don't want to worry about when my check is going to deposit to make sure our house is not foreclosed on. I don't want to do the extra 3 baskets of laundry because my daughter has to change her outfit three times a day. I don't want to go to the grocery store ...

Scrapbook Retreat

This past weekend on went on a scrapbook retreat. Here is the place I stayed from Friday thur Sunday It was so much fun! I was very homesick at first because I hate being away from my house at night. I worry about my dogs and rats and cat because he throws up when I'm gone for awhile. Anyways, I finished 50 scrapbook pages in the 48 hours I was gone. All we did was scrap, scrap, scrap. Saturday night my butt hurt from sitting so much, but it was so fun and I met some very nice ladies. There were 9 of us total. We watched movies, and enjoyed each other's company. I will definately try to make this a yearly event because I was able to completely catch up on my albums. I love looking back at my scrapbooks and seeing how things change. Bri enjoys it too and I know she will appreciate them when she is older so I will continue to do it! That's all for now @---)---)----
