Not Me Monday!

Do you ever feel like the months fly by before you even knew it was that month? Lately, things just seem to happen and pass and I'm like, "Wait, where did the month go? Probably because the springtime is my favorite time of year and I spend most of it outside. Time for not me Monday.... It was definately not me who went to a boat show with my boyfriend to look at "boats" and ending up leaving, 3 hours later with a 40 dollar bottle of "special lotion" that is suppose to heal everything from poison ivy to severly dry cuticles (maybe even prevent heartattacks, wth?). And, to top off the 40 dollar bottle of lotion, it was definately not me who left the boat show 7,000 dollars in debt because I financed (0 percent for 36 months) a brand new, adjustable, vibrating extra soft temporpedic mattress.... Did you know that flat mattresses squish your heart and lungs all night long, let alone cause scoliosis of the spine and lead to paralysis later in life (jk, but...

You know your a nurse when...

I complied this list from a couple of different websites. They are hilarious, even if you're not a nurse. You believe that all the patient needs is some vitamin A (ativan) You do the "only-27-more-minutes-of-the-shift-from-hell happy dance" You believe the more equipment you see on a nurses belt, the newer they are. (so true!)   You believe when dealing with patients, supervisors, or citizens, if it felt good saying it, it was the wrong thing to say.   You call burn victims "crispy critters" (that just sounds wrong!)   Your bladder expands roughly to same capacity as a Winnebago's water tank   You refer to someone in severe respiratory distress as a "Smurf" You have your weekends off planned a year in advance (my boyfriend doesn't like that!) Your idea of a good time is a Code Blue at shift change You get an almost irresistible urge to stand and wolf down your food, even in the nicest restaurants   You believe a book...

Cactus...

Brianna is deathly afraid of Cactus, for some reason. She's never been poked by one, but she's afraid they'll come out and grab her leg. So, yesterday, before she got home from school, I put a little cactus in her snack so she'd walk in on it. Then, I waited in the laundry room to snap a picture. She wasn't too happy and told me to take it away :) I said, just take one picture with the cactus and this is as close as she would get :) That's all for now @---)---)----

Mopping the floor...

I don't know why I think this is so funny but when I mop the floor, I have to put the dogs outside and the cat in my room. This way there little paws don't get on my wet floor. Here is Jackson waiting for me to finish. He's like, "Mom? Are you done yet?" Then, here is my cat.... "Hello?".... That's all for now @---)----)----

New Camera Strap!

I got this camera strap off the internet and it comes with extra padding and the cutest designs available! It takes a while for them to ship because she makes them when ordered but it was well worth the wait! Here is the link in case anyone is interested! http://www.sheyb.com/ That's all for now @---)----)----

Not Me Monday!!

I did not try to fill my water glass by pushing the button on the microwave instead of the water filter at 8 am. I did not have my daugther walk with me in the rain for 20 minutes so she would get tired enough to go to bed at 9pm on a school night. I did not neglect calling the police on my neighbors who were smoking pot in their car parked in the street, because I was too tired to wait until the police actually showed up. I have not eaten bean soup 3 days in a row for lunch, because I'm too lazy to cook anything else and my crock pot cranked out 8 tubberware bowls full of bean soup. I did not introduce my daugther to the shower cap because it saves me 10 minutes every other day of running water from her washing her hair. I did not agree to go skydiving in June because my life is a boring circle of laundry, work, grocery shopping, dog walking, and sleeping. What's your story?

Galveston Trip

Bri went to Galveston to visit my little brother who is in medicial school in Galveston, TX. Here are some pictures from their trip! He is a good Uncle and Bri loves him very much. We are very proud of him! I can't stand the humidity in Galveston, and had a wonderful time enjoying my time alone :) But, I sure missed Bri! That's all for now @---)---)---

Praise God!

Brianna finally figured out how to ride a bike!! I'll admit, I'm not the best at teaching things because my philosophy is you either sink or swim and if you don't want to drown, swim :) Anyways, after 8 years and plenty of me worrying that my child would go to college without learning how to ride a bike (kind of like you worry about them going to college in diapers), she learned! She's still a little wobbly but we took a "bike ride" around the neighborhood last night and she loved it! That's all for now @---)----)----
