Mud Run Fun!

Sunday morning, we woke up at 6 am to 40 degree weather to participate in the 10K fort worth Mud Run. It was a 10K run with 10 obstacles all in the mud. It was suppose to mirror a basic training course for the military. It was insane!!! First of all, I've never run 6.2 miles in my life, let alone compete in obstacles along the way. One of the obstacles, we had to go underneath these logs in the freezing mud... like hold your breath and go under water. It was disgusting and the water was so cold, my heart stopped during it! I finished in 1 hour and 30 minutes. I was with a group of 5 other people so we all complete it together. However, my brother, finished 2nd in the whole race! He only lost because the guy in front of him completely ran around the last obstacles and my brother attempted to climb this 16 foot wall 3 times, before going around. So, needless to say, he wouldn't gotten first. I am so bruised and scratched from the race, and I'm still finding mud in strange pla...

Rain, rain...

This picture was from Christmas. My dad's hat cracks me up. This was a picture of Bri at church on Sunday. I had the flowers dedicated to her for ther 7th birthday! She was surprised! Funny story... I had a patient at the hosptial this weekend and he's been there for like 3 months. He was a failed suicide attempt patient, and we are working on reconstructing his face. He is a very nice guy and he hadn't had a hair cut in like 3 months. So, of course, I offered to cut his hair for him. He had clippers and it was going very nicely until I got to the back of his head and cut a little too short in one spot. However, the guy is trached has no lips, so I didn't feel it necessary to tell him that I messed up on the back. He was so happy that I cut it. He walked around the corner before I left and gave me a thumbs up that he liked it. That's why I like being a nurse! That's all for now @---)----)----

I love Springtime!

I don't have any new pictures but I just had to say, "I love SPRING!!" I love when the grass turns green and everything starts to bloom again. The weather is so nice right now!!! Anyways, update on Templeton. Last night, Jackson scared him right out of his cage, through his bars, he ran up the blinds in my kitchen and into the curtain poof that is above the window. I grabbed his tall and he was scared to death! So, we had to move his cage into Bri's room to keep Jackson (my jack russel) from harassing him. Poor little guy (maybe girl, I can't tell!) Also, we got a wii!! I love playing guitar hero. Bri likes to play the drums or sing on the microphone. It's so much fun!!! We are very happy with our investment! :) Our next additional to our family is going to be another rat so Templeton doesn't get lonely during the day. He's so cute!! I can't believe he can fit through the bars on his cage. I need to fatten him up. He doesn't escape though, unle...

For Sarah... 5 years and counting!!!!

Bri was two when we met Sarah... Here's what she looked like then; Now, 5 years later, here's what she looks like... Here's a picture of me from nursing school... And, a picture of Sarah and I in school... Then, we added Blake to the mix... Love you, guys!!! I can't believe it's been 5 years!

Bri's birthday party

I made the cake! Getting her hair done at girly girl~ Posing in her dress, make up, hair done! Birthday girl chair! Our new pet... Templeton Buddy Clee. He's a cutie! She loves Girly Girl in Keller! We had a great time full of cake, dress up, make up, nails, hair...etc... The got to walk down the catwalk and pose like "America's next top model". It was so much fun. Then, we went to pick up our new friend... Brianna named him Templeton Buddy Clee. He is so cute and very good. We tried to feed him a Strawberry last night but his not a big fan of fruit. Anyway, Bri just loves him so much! He scratched her arm up all last night and it didn't phase her at all. I think we might get him a little friend to play with during the day because rats prefer to be with another rat. They get only. That's all for now @---)----)----

The Bachelor

Last night I watched the Bachelor finale. Give me a break! That guy makes me sick and the whole show is corrupt! Brothers and sisters, on the other hand was so good on Sunday! I love that show. So, my baby girl turns 7 years old in 10 days! I can't believe it. Her party is this Friday. She is so excited. We are getting a rat for her birthday. I've already gotten the cage, bedding, food, water, etc.... but we are waiting to get the rat. I did alot of research (yes, I'm a nerd) on what kind of rodent I wanted to get her. She really wanted a puppy but since I have two insane dogs already, I opted out of that choice. So, at first I wanted a hamster, but they always die, mice are too small and can bite. Gerbils like to jump and I pictured him jumping out of the cage and then Jackson biting his head off. So, that was out... Then, I came upon the lovely rat! They live for three years, only eat nuts and grains (so no live food), are self sufficient, personable, trainable, cage only...
