Wouldn't you like to know...

My brother and I did a "Warrior Dash" in Austin, TX a couple of weeks ago. Here are some of the pictures! Mark finished in the top ten, I finished in the top 2,000 (out of 6,000) Yes, I know, not impressive, but it was still fun! I think being a single parent for 8 years, going on 9, I have developed some strange habits that most people can't relate to. I have always been super cautious about spending money, devoted to saving as much money as I can, careful in preventing things from breaking down, attempting to hold together my "family" life as if nothing ever worries me. Anyways, it has worked for 8 years. My daughter doesn't know any different. If you asked her, she will tell you she has the best family she could ever ask for.... family being her grandparents on my side and her uncle on my side. I love that about her. She is so innocent and has no clue. But, I'm grateful that I've been able to hide this from her. My grandmother had a sign up in her kitchen that said, "The perfect hostess is like a duck, calm and serene on the surface, but paddling like hell underside". That's how I feel most of the time. I normally take Brianna to Target for our Christmas card which I've done every year since she was born. But, this year I decided to break the routine and make my own Christmas cards. I am going to include a photo collage inside the Christmas card and I decided to just take pictures of Brianna. Here are some of them. They turned out pretty cute!  Look at my dogs teeth. He looks like a beast and he wouldn't hurt a fly. Minnie is the mean one of the bunch!  My babies!! Brianna and Mr. Kennedy! He wasn't too happy about being held. Posing in the grass! I heart dave ramsey! I listen to him everyday when I'm driving home from work. He is on 570 am from 2 to 4ish, I think. Anyways, I heard this quote from him the other day. "If the lottery made people rich, rich people would pay poor people to stand in line for them." Bwwwaaahhhaaaahhhaaahhhhaaaa.... I love this!  Bri and I before we started trick or treating.  Do you like her face paint?  My highschool friend, Aimee and I. Aimee is pregnant with her 2nd baby. She did not go as a pregnant woman in costume!  My friends husband, Jason and her son Caleb (13 months). He didn't really get the idea of trick or treating yet.  One of my favorite yard decorations. What is that thing? It had a triceratops spine.  The best house by far! These were scarier in the dark but my I used my flash to take the pictures so they would show up.
