25 Week Pregnancy Update

Well, I made it to 25 weeks!
Time seemed to slow down for the second trimester. I'm not ready to have two babies but I'm sure ready to meet this little one!

I finally got the crib put up in Jamyson's room so we have 2 cribs and 1 changing table. I moved the dresser into the closet to give us a little bit more room.

How I'm feeling....

Weight Gain: Well, I've gained 27 lbs. Seems like a lot since I only gained 34 total with my first two pregnancies.
I'm not sure why I've gained so much weight with this one.

Exercise: I walk about 4 miles a day. So, if I wasn't walking as much as I am, I probably would've gained more weight!

Cravings/Diet: I love frozen fruit! Probably because it's nearing summertime. I have not been craving ice-cream like I did with my second pregnancy. Although, I sure won't pass it up. Honestly, turkey and cheese sandwiches are what I usually want. However, I try to incorporate a salad or smoothie if I can. I've also been wanting a ton of string cheese. I think I like the salt from it.

Morning Sickness: I don't have morning sickness anymore but occasionally I will get waves of just feeling "blah". That's usually when I eat something, which has probably caused me to gain more weight. I still take 2 diclegis pills at night because I find when I don't take them, I feel even more lousy during the day. And, I think they help me sleep better at night.

Sleep: I sleep fine at night. When I take a nap during the day, my nose usually gets really stuffy or I have weird dreams that keep waking me up. It's almost not worth taking a nap. I usually lay down while Jamyson is napping and watch Gilmore Girls. That's still my go to show.

Concerns: I switched doctors halfway through this pregnancy in order to try for a VBAC. The doctor I'm going to is one of two in the DFW metroplex that specialize in VBAC. I've also hired a doula which is suppose to help your chance of success. Here's praying I finally get my VBAC after 2 C-sections.

That's all for now

27 Weeks Pregnancy Update

27 weeks today. Is this the third trimester or not?!? Some websites say it is, some says 28 is. So, I'm not too sure. Weight Gain:  33.3 lbs total. Only half a pound of away from what I gained with Jamyson and I still have 13 weeks left (waaaahhhh.....) I feel huge. I am huge! It's harder to walk and my feet hurt now, lol. Exercise:  I'm still walking but I cut back last week and only did 14.7 miles. I broke the 200 miles for the year for the "run the year 2017"! However, the more I walk, the more I eat and the more weight I gain (eek)! Cravings/Diet:  I've been craving lemon lime gatorade. Weird right?! It's delicious. I've also been getting reece's blasts from Sonic. They are so good! I threw in a cooke dough blizzard from dairy queen. That was delicious and not helping with my weight gain. Morning Sickness: Still no morning sickness but I'm still taking 2 diclegis every night. Sleep:  Didn't nap as much last week. Just didn...

Our Experience with Covid 19

I'm writing to share our experience with Covid-19. With the reopening of the lockdown, many new cases are flooding the world. My husband is the Regional Sales Manager at Century 21 Judge Fite in Rockwall. He has been in real estate for the past seven years. He is an amazing realtor and even better manager. I am very proud of him and I stand behind him no matter what. Saturday July 5th is started feeling ill after a work out. He had recently joined Legends Fit in Rockwall and started a program where he had to lose 25lbs or 6.9% body fat in 6 weeks and he would get a free membership for the year. After 3 weeks and a very strict diet and workout, he had lost close to 20 lbs and 5.3% body fat. He started running a fever Saturday afternoon and felt very fatigued. No real respiratory symptoms and his pulse ox never dropped below 98 percent. His heart rate was double his resting heart rate. He tested on Monday morning and received word Tuesday around 5:30pm that he was pos...

Ashton's Birth Story-VBAC

I started this last pregnancy journey with the goal of finishing my second VBAC. Here's the story (So that I never forget any of my children's birth, I have documented each one's stories)... Around 4pm on Thursday August 1, 2019, I went into the hospital. I was having irregular contractions, dilated to 2 cm and 50% effaced. I was 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant.  Here is a photo: I am almost 6 feet tall and had gained nearly 50 lbs. Most of which I gained in the first and second trimester. I continued to workout this whole pregnancy in hopes that my body would bounce back quicker. Time will tell. So, my doctor came in around 5:30pm and said he was going to do the foley cervical dilation balloon again since that worked with Elizabeth. So, they inserted the foley balloon which is extremely painful because I have a tilted cervix which apparently hides behind my spine. He tried to do it with a tool and ended up having to do it manually with his hands.  Then, I ...
