This weekend was my bf's birthday.
We went to the Dallas Aquarium with Bri and enjoyed spending the day together with the monkeys, sloths, fish, penguins, etc.
Bri had alot of fun and Rob enjoyed it as well.
I will post pictures as soon as I remember to bring my camera too work!
Last night we had a little family dinner at Rob's Dad's house and we were talking about how men never grow up. Or, I was talking about it and no-one seemed to agree with me, but I look at my Dad, who is 62 and still gets excited about buying new trucks, motorcycles, boats, etc. Okay, he may have a slight case of the bipolar spending tendencies.
Anyways, I think it's funny how girls seem to "mature" faster than boys.
Case in point, I am the one who worries about bills, braces, doctor's appts, cleaning, hygiene.... the list could go on and on. When Bri is with her Dad, does he worry about any of that?
If he does, he never expresses it to me.
Maybe it's just that men don't talk about it like women do.
I don't know.
It's a love/hate relationship with me.
I love that men don't worry about things like that because it makes me enjoy the smaller things in life that aren't as "important" in my book.
I tend to look at things as goals that I must achieve above all else...death, hurricanes, sickness... it doesn't matter, it must get done.
But, men look at things like, today I'm going to do this... then go to sleep. Enough said.
It's so funny to me.
My daughter is more like me in that she sets goals and must accomplish them to feel satisfied. She can be a little OCD about things like cleaning, etc... but, in the end, she gets it completed that day.
Men, on the other hand, will complete it eventually, on their time.
Something to ponder.
That's all for now
