2nd Grade Open House!

Bri, Grammie and I attended her open house celebration last night.
Bri showed off all her artwork, and I know I am biased, but I think she has the best hand writing of anyone in her class. :)
Here is a picture of Bri with her 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Dold...


I guess Bri thought she needed to "suck in" during this picture. I really like her teacher. She is very strict :)

Here is a picture of Bri in front of her Seahorse dissertation she wrote.
I didn't know this about seahorses, but they have partners for life (they are not polygamists!)
That's pretty cool. They only live about 4 years though.


This is Bri and her friend, Laura. She is a sweet little girl and they always compete against each other for the different awards at the end of the year. It's cute that they're buddies though!


And, lastly, here is Bri in front of her Science Experiment. The kids hypothesized that tap water would evaportate faster than salt water because salt water was heavier, therefore it would take longer to evaporate.
They hypothesized incorrectly, and learned that salt water evaporates faster than tap.
I tried to explain diffusion and osmosis to Bri, but I think that went over her head :)

Anyways, we had a good time looking at all her work.

27 Weeks Pregnancy Update

27 weeks today. Is this the third trimester or not?!? Some websites say it is, some says 28 is. So, I'm not too sure. Weight Gain:  33.3 lbs total. Only half a pound of away from what I gained with Jamyson and I still have 13 weeks left (waaaahhhh.....) I feel huge. I am huge! It's harder to walk and my feet hurt now, lol. Exercise:  I'm still walking but I cut back last week and only did 14.7 miles. I broke the 200 miles for the year for the "run the year 2017"! However, the more I walk, the more I eat and the more weight I gain (eek)! Cravings/Diet:  I've been craving lemon lime gatorade. Weird right?! It's delicious. I've also been getting reece's blasts from Sonic. They are so good! I threw in a cooke dough blizzard from dairy queen. That was delicious and not helping with my weight gain. I hate Mondays!!!!!

Friday night I went to see Highschool musical with Bri. It was a great movie, the best of the high school trilogy by far! Definately made for the big screen. It was about the high school musical cast's senior year. So, it reminded me of when I was in highschool and everyone says, "You have the power to become whatever you want to become... ... Then, you start to think... I want to change the world... I will be 26 in one month and I have realized that when someone tells you that you can be anything you want to be, it is not necessarily true. I do agree that people create their own destiny and are forced to turn any situation into a good one BUT my life turned out nothing like I imagined it. Last night, Bri said she wished that her whole family lived together in the same house and then she started crying. I told her I was sorry she felt that way and that I understood because I used to want to live with ANYBODY else besides my family. When I was in highschool I researched college...
