Here are some pictures from my trip to Galveston.
I went to see my little brother and visit him at medical school!
I attended a radiology lecture with him and then Friday night we went to the lab to see his cadaver! Not only did I get to see her, but I got to play with her too!
It was amazing to see the human body. Her liver, spleen and intestines had already been removed but I was able to see her kidneys and the disection of her shoulder, forarm, fingers, skull. It was awesome. I thought I would be grossed out but at the end of it, I was covered in cadaver juice and loved every minute of it. I think it's awesome that the familys and patients donate their bodies to science for bettering the medical field.

As you can see, I was unable to wear make up in Galveston because it's so humid!

Here is Mark and I at IHOP before I left. We had two meals there (he really likes that place).
Then, I wandered up to college station to visit my friend Amanda and attend the Aggie football game with her. We had really good seats and even though A&M lost, we still had fun!

I drove 700 miles in 72 hours but it was definately worth it to see my brother and the cadaver!
I enjoyed my little excursion away from "life" :) but was happy to return home when I did.
Last night, I went to Wally world to stock up on groceries for the month of October (it had been a while, I was out of peanut butter to say the least).
I spent $177.06 for the month (purchased cleaning products, meals, snacks, etc... and saved $18.00 in coupons!!! I was so happy!
I budget $400.00/month for groceries and was excited that I still have about 200.00 left over for eating out or overflowing into my other expenditures :).
Next project I am working is getting Bri's room ready for her new bed!
I am excited and it's forcing me to clean out the guest room. I am getting rid of an old desk and moving her desk into the guest room to free up some room for her bed.
She hardly uses her room at all so it will be perfect!
She just got her first six weeks report card and I'm happy to report that she made all A's and all E's!!! Her best subject is Math.
That's all for now
