My crazy weekend in a nutshell (or mason jar)

Crazy weekend but I have a couple of funny stories.
Friday night I worked from 3p to 11pm (Got home about midnight).
I decided before I went to sleep that I was going to sleep until noon the next day... you know, catch up on all my sleep for the weekend. I didnt' have to be back at the hospital until 3pm, so I was golden.
However, Saturday morning came around and I woke up at 7am! On a regular day I have a hard time waking up to a blaring alarm clock and yapping 7 year old, and the only night that I am completely alone, no noise, no people, no alarm clock, no tv... I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Anyways, so I got up and went to sprouts because I decided I was going to culture my own vegetables.
So, I bought the cabbage, Kale (seaweed) carrots, celtic sea salt and went home to start my culturing. I was planning on taking a nap before work...however...
I started into my culturing which means chopping up the vegetables, putting them in a jar and letting them sit out for 3-7 days to grow "good" bacteria which then you stick in the fridge to stop the proliferation and enjoy! They last for 8 months and they are really vitamin, mineral enriched veggies.
Yum, right?
So, how long can it take to do this?
Well, I'm glad you asked.
3 hours later I was covered in cabbage juice, chopped carrots, salt in the cuticles, juice on my face, vegetables on the floor and counter... it was crazy! But, I finished just in time to leave for work.
So, I placed the veggies in my bathtub in case it attacted bugs or leaked.
I checked on them last night and they were leaking, but I think I made them correctly.
I will have to take a picture of them when they are done.
However, if you want any information on them just google "cultured vegetables". I didn't make this up... I promise.
My weekend was good though because I worked 24 hours which will siginificantly help pay for Bri's braces.
Sacrifices... I'll tell you what....
I was completely exhausted, felt like a semi had run over me a couple of times, then dragged me for 2 miles, left me on the side of the road, etc.
But, I felt great because I wanted to call in or get canceled, but I didn't and I made it and successfully settled my nerves about paying for these braces.

That's all for now

Yeah, I tried them today. They aren't that bad. You are suppose to eat 1/2 cup with each meal (3-4meals/day).
They help digest your food.
And, they're cheaper than buying digestive enzymes in a bottle and much better for you. I'll have to let you try mine. I'll bring them over for our dinner with Shala!

27 Weeks Pregnancy Update

27 weeks today. Is this the third trimester or not?!? Some websites say it is, some says 28 is. So, I'm not too sure. Weight Gain:  33.3 lbs total. Only half a pound of away from what I gained with Jamyson and I still have 13 weeks left (waaaahhhh.....) I feel huge. I am huge! It's harder to walk and my feet hurt now, lol. Exercise:  I'm still walking but I cut back last week and only did 14.7 miles. I broke the 200 miles for the year for the "run the year 2017"! However, the more I walk, the more I eat and the more weight I gain (eek)! Cravings/Diet:  I've been craving lemon lime gatorade. Weird right?! It's delicious. I've also been getting reece's blasts from Sonic. They are so good! I threw in a cooke dough blizzard from dairy queen. That was delicious and not helping with my weight gain. Morning Sickness: Still no morning sickness but I'm still taking 2 diclegis every night. Sleep:  Didn't nap as much last week. Just didn...

Our Experience with Covid 19

I'm writing to share our experience with Covid-19. With the reopening of the lockdown, many new cases are flooding the world. My husband is the Regional Sales Manager at Century 21 Judge Fite in Rockwall. He has been in real estate for the past seven years. He is an amazing realtor and even better manager. I am very proud of him and I stand behind him no matter what. Saturday July 5th is started feeling ill after a work out. He had recently joined Legends Fit in Rockwall and started a program where he had to lose 25lbs or 6.9% body fat in 6 weeks and he would get a free membership for the year. After 3 weeks and a very strict diet and workout, he had lost close to 20 lbs and 5.3% body fat. He started running a fever Saturday afternoon and felt very fatigued. No real respiratory symptoms and his pulse ox never dropped below 98 percent. His heart rate was double his resting heart rate. He tested on Monday morning and received word Tuesday around 5:30pm that he was pos...

Ashton's Birth Story-VBAC

I started this last pregnancy journey with the goal of finishing my second VBAC. Here's the story (So that I never forget any of my children's birth, I have documented each one's stories)... Around 4pm on Thursday August 1, 2019, I went into the hospital. I was having irregular contractions, dilated to 2 cm and 50% effaced. I was 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant.  Here is a photo: I am almost 6 feet tall and had gained nearly 50 lbs. Most of which I gained in the first and second trimester. I continued to workout this whole pregnancy in hopes that my body would bounce back quicker. Time will tell. So, my doctor came in around 5:30pm and said he was going to do the foley cervical dilation balloon again since that worked with Elizabeth. So, they inserted the foley balloon which is extremely painful because I have a tilted cervix which apparently hides behind my spine. He tried to do it with a tool and ended up having to do it manually with his hands.  Then, I ...
