So, I had a frustrating weekend, actually week.
It started out when I was driving home from Oklahoma (which is always frustrating) and I stopped at a second hand sports store to get Bri a baseball glove.
I thought she needed to know how to throw a baseball and I would just buy a used glove in case she wasn't that into it.
So, I walked in and everything was full retail price.
I was like, what kind of second hand store is this.
Anyways, I was already inside and had specifically stopped for the glove so I decided to buy the ball and glove for 25.00. It's worth the investment, right?
So, the guy at the counter was talking to his buddy.
He ran my debit card and printed out a reciept. He was like, oops, I made a mistake, let me see your card again.
So, I looked at the reciept and he had input 258.00 instead of 25.00 (because that makes alot of sense).
I was like, if you hadn't been talking to your buddy you might have rang me up correctly.
So, he refunded me 208.00. I was like, okay, I'm not a math expert, but that doesn't add up to 250.00. So, he was like, oops, another mistake, let me ring you up again.
I was so mad by now that I was sweating.
But, I kept my cool and walked out to the car with my new glove and multiple reciepts. So, I promptly called my bank to check my balance because I knew I didn't have 258.00 in my checking account.
Long story short, I had to drive to Denton, TX ( I was in Ardmore, OK) to the closest wellsfargo and spoke with the branch manager about my overdraft charge and lack of funds.
He was like, it should only take 5 days to return the money to your account.
So, for five days my checking account balance is $0.00, but there was nothing they could do because the federal reserve is closed on the weekend...
Okay, so I got over that.
Then, I have been praying about paying for Bri's braces because it is alot of money and her dad is suppose to help me pay 50% of all medical bills.
I asked about 4 weeks ago and have heard nothing back from him.
So, my friend called me yesterday on my way home from work to tell me about her new house and I was like, Listen to this... so I informed her of the situation and my dilemma about paying for the braces alone.
So, she promptly informed me that I shouldn't be asking for more money and my child support should cover it.
However, he did agree to pay 50% medical bills and I believe this falls under medical.
But, she has been dating this guy for 6 months and he has two children from a previous relationship. She has automatically become an expert in this field.
She said that he pays too much money for the kids and she would be upset if his ex-wife asked for more money.
I said, if I was asking for more money to take a vacation or buy Bri a puppy, then, yes, I can understand your point.
But, I'm asking for more money to help preserve my daughters mouth, apperance, jaw problems in the future, etc.
So, I don't see the correlation and it upset me because I do not like being stereotyped and if she/my daugther's father new how much I worked to pay for such things as food, clothes, school, activities, movies, church, blah, blah, blah... maybe they would give me a break.
So, I picked up three extra shifts at the hosptial to help pay for the deposit on the braces and about half the total amount.
In the long run, I will probably end up paying for the total amount on my own, but I still think that is wrong.
If you want to parent a child, then step up and accept the responsibility.
AHHHH!!!!!
That's all for now
