Triceratops

So.... it's been one week since I posted a blog. Probably because I was in Denver and had no computer access. That's not always a bad thing!!
This week went by extremely fast!
So, update on my tree... I found out this morning that I have a red oak in my front yard. I don't really like it but I guess there's not much I can do about that.
My neighbor has a pear tree that he wants to dig up and replace so I offered to generously "take it off his hands" but he didn't feel it necessary to give me his tree. :(
So, I'm going to have to break down and by one sooner or later.

So, I have somehow been put in charge of planning my grandma's funeral. This made me think how nice it would be when you died, if you already had created a powerpoint presentation or something along that line, that had pictures from your life... baby to recent and you could update it each year... add song, then, when you die, they can just play it at your funeral. I saw that in the movie love actually and it's a great idea, I think.
My dad found some old pictures of my grandma that are so not flattering. Then, he found some of himself when he was younger and I told him that this funeral was suppose to be in memory of her, not him, but he wanted his pictures posted, alongwith the goats and bubba.
So, I think I'll make a miniature scrapbook and give it to him at the funeral. That way people can thumb through pictures of the goats and bubba while singing the hymns I picked out for her funeral.
These are my options, I have to narrow it down to 2.
Here I am Lord
Amazing Grace (with bagpipes in the background)
Tears in Heaven (that is so cliche)
Simple Gifts

I think I'll go with Here I am Lord and Simple Gifts. Those are presbyterian hymns and most of my family is presbyterian. Well, I think my grandma was but she wasn't really a practicing presbyterian but since I'm the one who has to pick the songs, I think I'll pick those.

At my funeral, I want...
Lord of the dance
Here I am Lord
Simple Gifts
Ice, Ice Baby

I'll have to keep adding to the list...
I could actually play these at my reception.
I also know the flowers I want on my gravesite... gerber daisies and pink and white lilies.
When Brianna was born, my friend Katie brought me 3 enormous gerber daisies to the hosptial.
I had never seen them before and I thought they were so pretty! And, they remind me of Bri. :)

That's all I have for now.

27 Weeks Pregnancy Update

27 weeks today. Is this the third trimester or not?!? Some websites say it is, some says 28 is. So, I'm not too sure. Weight Gain:  33.3 lbs total. Only half a pound of away from what I gained with Jamyson and I still have 13 weeks left (waaaahhhh.....) I feel huge. I am huge! It's harder to walk and my feet hurt now, lol. Exercise:  I'm still walking but I cut back last week and only did 14.7 miles. I broke the 200 miles for the year for the "run the year 2017"! However, the more I walk, the more I eat and the more weight I gain (eek)! Cravings/Diet:  I've been craving lemon lime gatorade. Weird right?! It's delicious. I've also been getting reece's blasts from Sonic. They are so good! I threw in a cooke dough blizzard from dairy queen. That was delicious and not helping with my weight gain. Morning Sickness: Still no morning sickness but I'm still taking 2 diclegis every night. Sleep:  Didn't nap as much last week. Just didn...

Our Experience with Covid 19

I'm writing to share our experience with Covid-19. With the reopening of the lockdown, many new cases are flooding the world. My husband is the Regional Sales Manager at Century 21 Judge Fite in Rockwall. He has been in real estate for the past seven years. He is an amazing realtor and even better manager. I am very proud of him and I stand behind him no matter what. Saturday July 5th is started feeling ill after a work out. He had recently joined Legends Fit in Rockwall and started a program where he had to lose 25lbs or 6.9% body fat in 6 weeks and he would get a free membership for the year. After 3 weeks and a very strict diet and workout, he had lost close to 20 lbs and 5.3% body fat. He started running a fever Saturday afternoon and felt very fatigued. No real respiratory symptoms and his pulse ox never dropped below 98 percent. His heart rate was double his resting heart rate. He tested on Monday morning and received word Tuesday around 5:30pm that he was pos...

Ashton's Birth Story-VBAC

I started this last pregnancy journey with the goal of finishing my second VBAC. Here's the story (So that I never forget any of my children's birth, I have documented each one's stories)... Around 4pm on Thursday August 1, 2019, I went into the hospital. I was having irregular contractions, dilated to 2 cm and 50% effaced. I was 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant.  Here is a photo: I am almost 6 feet tall and had gained nearly 50 lbs. Most of which I gained in the first and second trimester. I continued to workout this whole pregnancy in hopes that my body would bounce back quicker. Time will tell. So, my doctor came in around 5:30pm and said he was going to do the foley cervical dilation balloon again since that worked with Elizabeth. So, they inserted the foley balloon which is extremely painful because I have a tilted cervix which apparently hides behind my spine. He tried to do it with a tool and ended up having to do it manually with his hands.  Then, I ...
