I can't believe it's Friday. This week flew by faster than a hummingbird.
I finally got my solar screens put up! And, they look really good!
Next on my list... get a dryer booster installed, plant a tree in the backyard, plant my tulips in December for the springtime, and get storm doors put in on the front and back door. I'll probably do the back door first. I think the dogs would like to be able to look in and I'd like to be able to look out.
So, that's probably the next thing I will do.
But, the screens look really nice and they have white gridwork on them, so it stands out and matches really well with my white stone front.
My plan is to make the government pay ME money because I will have the most efficient home on the planet!!!
Last night, Bri and I went over to see my neighbor because used to work with her at Children's Courtyard.
Anyways, long story short, she has two children from a previous marraige who's dad pays her child support. Then, she has an 8 month old baby from her boyfriend who pays for her 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage house. He also pays for her to have a nanny who comes in Monday thru Friday to teach her 8 month old Spanish, clean the house, do the laundry, put up holiday decorations, etc. She doesn't work, doesn't pay any of her bills, told me how her water bill last month was 500.00 because she couldn't figure out how to program the sprinkler system.
Then, she asked if I was married and I said no. She said, "Great! We can be single Mom's together!"
I just stood there. There were really no words to say back to that.
Single Mom? Are u kidding? Do you know what it truly feels like to be a single Mom?
She has a better life than most married woman!!!! And, she through the single card Mom at me. OMG.
Really, I'm going to leave that one alone.
My grandma passed away last night. It was for the best though. I think she waited for my Dad to get home from Vegas. We got to say goodbye to her. She wasn't really awake but it was great for Bri to see the end of life. We prayed for her to go to heaven to be with my grandpa ("grump"). Bri held her hand and told her she loved her.
Then, when we were walking out, she was sniffling and she said, "I miss Grim".... and I laughed because she hadn't passed away yet... then, she got mad at me because I shouldn't be laughing at a time like this!
I told her she was right.
