Here are some pictures from Blake's birthday. I still think my daughter was the cutest baby in the world, but this baby comes in close behind Bri!

She's the cutest lil' lady bug!

Here is her proud daddy opening presents with her.

Here is a picture of Kaitlin and Bri watching Blake open 1,000 presents :) Don't they look excited!
Here are some pictures from my Grandma's funeral which was yesterday.
This is a collage I made that was set up on an easel.

Below is the picture of her box before we put in her in the ground.
Kind of creapy I know, I thought of taking a group photo of the people who attended but nobody seemed up for that.

Her box was a little dusty so I wiped it off, then they put her in the ground next to my grandpa.
My great Aunt and Uncle stayed with Bri and I the last two nights. I had never met them and they were so sweet!
They have been married for 50 years and my grandma and grandpa actually introduced the two of them to each other. They are so cute together. Everytime she would call him he was say, "Yes, love?" They invited us to come up the cabin in Maine that they own and I think we will do it someday.
We talked about why I had never really heard about this side of my family and we determined that my dad just lives in his own world and never really thinks about talking about other people.
My great Aunt is my actual blood relation and she has the bluest eyes I have ever seen. She has a beautiful face and she is such a sweet lady. Brianna just loved them and I was so glad she got to spend time with them because my family is very small and sometimes she doesn't understand the impact family can have on each other.
My Aunt cried when she left and she thanked us for letting them stay at our house. She has such a good sense of humor about getting old and it was nice to see that in them.
My great Uncle was a presbyterian Minister so he did the sermon and he did a wonderful job. We prayed together before we did the service.
I got to welcome everybody and read a letter my Dad wrote to his Mom.
It was a good service and it was nice to see people come to support my Dad.
My brother didn't come in for the funeral so I felt responsible for making it right and I think it turned out well.
I've never seen my dad cry before so that was tough but he loved his Mom and it was neat to see that side of him.
In summary, the past two weeks have been CRAZY but good. I love the idea of family and I'm so glad Brianna got to experience it.
I think life is too short to hold grudges.
That is my life lesson for the week.
And, that's all for now @---)---)----
